"Clothes Optional" at naturist beaches will
have to continue
December 1999
Dear SUN,
Unfortunately I think "clothes optional" at naturist beaches will
have to continue. I don't see how people can be made to undress when they come
to a naturist beach, but it would be good if there could be a ban on any kind of
bathing costume. People could sunbathe and swim in the underwear or in any kind
of clothing they like, so long as it was not any kind of bathing costume. Also, families and other
groups often have people among them who will never undress, my daughter-in-law
for example. She says she is not stopping my son from doing so; I don't know
what she will decide about their two little girls, they will obviously not be
able to join a club. We must have more public naturism, so that one parent can
participate with the children.
I had assumed Mark Nisbet had a visual monitor during the Newsnight
broadcast in June. He did very well under difficult conditions.
