Changes to SUN Group board
Another result of SUN's unexpected growth has been that the original
Secretary and Treasurer both found that their work for SUN was intruding on
their other commitments. At the April meeting of the Board, both their
resignations were accepted with regret and with very sincere thanks for all the
hard work both Richard Williams and Brian Proctor put in to get SUN up and running.
We are pleased that both are willing to remain Board members and will
continue their active support of SUN. It is a tribute to their hard work that
their duties were able to be transferred to their successors without disruption.
The new Secretary is Colin James and our Treasurer is now Sue
Dangerfield, who will be assisted by three Trustees: her husband Pete
Dangerfield, Barry Grant and Marianne Grant. With the
unexpected success of SUN, the Board has co-opted three new members:
John Harrison, Chris Phillips and Trevor Barratt. A
volunteer is needed to fulfil the duties of Press Officer, previously covered by
Colin as Assistant Secretary who will carry on for the time being until a
replacement can be found. Ideally, the Press Officer should live in the BH
postal area and will be responsible for liaison with the media, and for the
preparation, together with the Secretary, of SUN Updates. If anyone is
